but Nagarjuna has reportedly refused to portray a former Indian
president on screen.
Sources reveal the star was asked to play Fakruddin Ali Ahmed (the President from 1974 to 1977) in an upcoming Hindi-English film on the the life of the late Sanjay Gandhi. Director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, of Lahore fame, apparently wanted only Nag for the character but the actor refused it because he didn't want to be associated with a “controversial film“ -despite its `80-crore mega budget and Warner Bros. funding.
