An Indian-origin medical student from King’s College has died after she
was hit by a train soon after a row with a fellow student. Anita Trivedi’s family fears she may have killed herself as a result of bullying at college. A
British Transport Police spokesperson said the death was not being
treated as suspicious. An inquest into the death was opened on last
Wednesday and adjourned.
Early on Wednesday afternoon last week, Miss Trivedi returned home from university distressed, having fought with a classmate after a seminar, he said.
She told her mother, Sangeeta, 50, and one of her brothers, Krishna, 20, not to answer the telephone, before collecting some money and leaving the house in Newham, East London.
