Shami Shames Windies

Arms held aloft, he stood mid-pitch, the Eden Gardens rising to applaud its own. Mohammad Shami was handed his Test debut on the day and while Sachin Tendulkar may have stolen some of his thunder with a rare wicket, it was the boy from Bengal who walked away with figures of 4/71 that spearheaded India’s demolition job on the West Indies.
