TIMES IN BANGLADESH - India extend winning streak, thrash UAE

The gulf that exists between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the cricket field is wider than the Indian Ocean sepa rating the two nations geographically. Their last round-robin encounter between the two sides at the ongoing Asia Cup saw MS Dhoni's side crush UAE by 9 wickets to walk in to Sunday's final with a 4-0 win re cord in the competition. While UAE did well to qualify for the main competition, they were given a lesson or two by the other teams in the tournament.The Amjad Javed-led side will go home disappointed at the manner in which they have gone down in their last 4 encounters.

A target of 82 set by UAE was never going to test the Indian lineup and it didn't. Rohit Sharma (39, 7x4, 1x6) looked fluent during his stay at the crease.
