Veenavanka Gangrape: Dalit Victim Pleads Government for a Job

“I aspired to get a job and support my family. All my dreams were shattered on that fateful day when the three rogues pounced on me. It is humiliating with people staring at you like a showpiece. The dreams of a family were shattered,” lamented the 23-year-old Dalit girl of Veenavanka, who was gang-raped by three miscreants when she went to the police constable test coaching centre.

Recovering from the trauma, the girl shudders in panic when strangers approach her house. She prefers to keep herself within the confines of her house and is struggling to come to terms with her ordeal.
