KCR holds sway over house with PowerPoint on projects

In a first of its kind event, K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday became the first chief minister in the country to have turned a legislative assembly hall into a hi-tech venue with a computer and large digital screens as he made his case to the state over his government's plans for irrigation projects in the state.

Large digital screens, each 8 feet by 12 feet were installed for the purpose in both the assembly and council halls. While two such screens were installed on either side of the speaker's podium, a third was installed at the end of the hall opposite the podium for the speaker to ollow the presentation. Though screens were installed in the council building, the MLCs of the ruling TRS made their presence felt by watching the presentation from the visitors' gallery in the assembly.
