Knights' Royal Challenge

Fighting to overcome a mid-season slump they have become accustomed to in the last few Indian Premier League seasons, Royal Challengers Bangalore run into former champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here on Monday .

While both teams come into the contest on the back of defeats, it's the Virat Kohli-led RCB that will have a lot more cause for concern, with their persistent bowling woes undermining the batting efforts on too many occasions this season.

In Saturday's 15-run defeat, RCB's bowlers allowed Sunrisers Hyderabad to go from 821in 10 overs to 1945 in 20, leaving their batting lineup still missing Chris Gayle with a big ask while chasing. The loss RCB's fourth in six games left the side second from bottom with four points.
